an intimate date with San Sebastian Basilica, Sept 18 2010

FORSOAR organized a dinner date in San Sebastian to learn what we can do to help in the conservation of this unique and beautiful heritage structure, the only all-steel building in Asia where the first original image of Our Lady of Carmel from Spain is venerated today. At 109 years, the church is still very beautiful but is sadly rusting away. Tina Paterno, the conservateur of the project, appealed for all to help in whatever way. Fr. Provincial, Fr. Rex Bancaya, echoed this appeal. We sat with him and with Fr. Rene Paglinawam to discuss ways FORSOAR can help. Suggestions are most welcome.
